It is 5:45am and still dark out but the wheels are rolling. It rained all night but the rain has stopped now. The plan was to leave earlier but we didn't want to be closing everything up in the rain. We left ourselves time so the delay wasn't an issue.
Leaving in the dark is soooo much better than arriving in the dark. Pulling into a strange campground and getting set up in the dark is no fun. As it was we had to get settled in the rain. No problems. We are in our home and drying out and getting comfy.
This first part of our journey is basically overnight stops to get to our destination in Elkhart Indiana. We are having some upgrades done to the trailer suspension. The trio of broken springs last year helped us make this decision. The company that will do the work, mostly does it at their facility in Elkhart.
Oh and by the way we did stop at the Bucee's in Georgia. Bucee's is a must stop when we are on the road. Good food, clean and plentiful bathrooms, good fuel prices, and a million fuel pumps so there is almost no waiting even with 60' of RV! Ok, maybe not a million but the rows and rows of pumps is amazing. If you haven't been to a Bucees make a point to stop in if you are nearby. It will not disapoint.
That is the end of this blog from our home in Byron Georgia because.....
Home is where we park it,
Frank and Mary
Stay safe my friend.
