It has been way too long since I have blogged. 2020 and 2021 have been no fun. I hope the light at the end of the tunnel isn't a head on collision with a train. It sounds a little pessimistic but that will hopefully change soon. I hope that everyone is practicing social distancing, washing their hands regularly, and wearing your masks. All of this and the vaccines I'm sure will keep us on the path to normality, whatever that may be in the future.
This winter has been quite the roller coaster. From a job that didn't work out to finding a job with friends. Then friends who got covid and easily recovered to friends who got sick and needed support during their recovery. All this while tryng to stay healthy and dealing with all the aches and pains that come with the aging process. Most days I feel pretty good but every once in a while reality bites me in the ass and says "HEY old fart, your'e not 25 years old any more!". I real am very fortunate to be able to enjoy my golden years, I just didn't think it would take so much effort.
It is also getting to that time of year when we set our sights on northern destinations. Upstate New York is this summer's goal. On the way we plan to see a few family and friends, Covid restrictions and everyone's health allowing.
We have both recieved our first vaccine and will be completed with it before we leave. I didn't want to deal with getting the shot and residence requirements once we left Florida, so I am glad that will be all taken care of by the time we hit the road. At the rate vaccines are being given out, soon enough of the American public will have the antibodies to start us toward "herd" immunity. Another step towards a normal life!
OK, everyone stay healthy while I cut this short and get ready for dinner here in our home in Zephyrhills because.....
Home is where we park it,
Frank and Mary
Looking forward towards your visit!!
